 I'm back! With another book review! 

This book is called My Animal Family and written by Michael Botur. 

Michael Botur is an author from New Zealand. He has written four indie short story collections, the novels Monyeland and Crimechurch, the former of which garnered thousands of reads on Wattpad. 

Botur has published creative writing in most New Zealand literary journals, as well as publishing journalism in most newspapers and magazines, including New Zealand Hearld, Herald on Sunday, Sunday Star-Times, and many more. Botur has an MA in Creative Writing from AUT University, a degree in arts and literacy, and a graduate diploma in journalism studies from Massey University. Michael Botur has been making money from his creative writing since the age of 21 (which is something I could only dream of since I'm now older than that). 

My Animal Family, which is available here, is a story about our place in the natural world. Your guides in the story are Abe and Violet Botur, Botur's children, who love nature. You'll learn about all different kinds of animals and distant relatives thanks to this book. Plus, the book is full of wonderful drawings done by Emma Weakley, and some great rhymes that make you enjoy the book all the more!

This book is for every child who is curious about animals (and their scientific names), loves nature, and wants to respect the world and the creatures who live here. We all deserve the space we have been given on this planet. 

Even if you think you know everything about the animals on this planet, or you think you have the same basic knowledge everyone else does, I can tell you that you will learn something new. I did! It's the perfect story to read to your kids, it's educational and fun, and if you want to read it yourself, it's easy to read too!
